Absolutely delicious food. We ordered our favorite of two machetes quisobirrias and one junior. They even gave us a free sample of fried chicken and it was awesome. The taste may be authentic but the music and atmosphere is modernized which is a clever mix of culture and nationality

OMG... This machetes are so SO good! Our new favorite place!!! And the service was very friendly. And also you must try the cookies they have!!! I do recomend!!! So tasty so delicious! ...

This place was an amazing experience, great customer service, great food and wasn't as pricey as I thought it was going to be. I will be returning soon

I ordered the machete with asada & pastor. It arrived plain and I must have given a very confused look because that’s when the staff told me that I had to walk up to the bar area and add my own stuff. I actually liked that concept. Only problem was that it was a small area and only 1 person can go at a time; if it was busy, I would probably find it annoying. Food was not bad. I liked their horchata too.

I got the machete asada here for dinner. What a great spot and good choice the portions were huge couldn’t finish. It had to take a box to go. They also have a sauce bar you can choose any sauce you like and they have extra onions on there feels like more lettuce and a bunch of other stuff at the sauce bar, highly recommend this place the food was really good and the portion is huge for the price definitely will be back next time I’m in the area. Thank you.

I am from Mexico City and from California to New York and from Mississippi to Wisconsin is hard to find Real Mexican food, in Chicago every “ Mexican restaurant thinks that lettuce cheese and sour cream has to be in every single plate , disgusting. Machetes with out the lettuce sour cream and cheese. Will make a perfect plate. That took me to my hometown. Fresh made from scratch, authentic flavors and delicious.

The family that runs this shop is seriously the sweetest. Just moved into the area and they have been a go to for dinner quite often. Not only do they make everything fresh but if you get the machete you can split your meats half and half (I usually do steak/birria & wow!!). Great value for the and the sisters who run this store are awesome. Thanks for all you do!

This is my third visit with my family, and they're willing to combine tables to create a pleasant atmosphere. Great service.
